Dr. Bart Lucarelli is President of Roleva Energy, a consultancy firm that conducts commercial and financial feasibility assessments of power projects on behalf of private power producers, lenders and private equity investors. Roleva Energy also conducts assessments of (i) the economics of utility scale solar PV projects and fossil fuel power projects and (ii) advances in the development of solar PV and other renewable energy technologies.
Dr. Lucarelli presented a paper on the economics of utility-scale solar PV projects in Asia at Solar Media’s 2016 PV Solar Conference in Bangkok and has published research papers on the future of the Indonesian and Australian coal industries through Stanford University’s Program for Energy and Sustainable Development. The coal-related papers have recently been published by Cambridge University Press in a book covering the global coal industry.
Dr. Lucarelli has 28 years of international energy project experience with twenty of those years spent in Asia. He has also served as an advisor on energy matters to the governments of Indonesia and Thailand and to the governments of Malawi and Lesotho in Africa. He resides in Bangkok and has a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
